GREG SCHOENECK
(he/him/his)

LPC / SAC / NCC

I am a Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (6230-125) and Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (16236-131) in the state of Wisconsin.  I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor.

My counseling style is eclectic, primarily focusing using a Poly-Vagal Informed and Trauma Informed lens; utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness / Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Authenticity, and Eco Therapy interventions.

I am certified in Brief Solution Oriented Trauma Resolution (BSOTR) and a certified trainer of the BSOTR technique as well. I have been trained and certified as a Therapeutic Game Master, through Geek Therapeutics. I have been a certified Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) therapist, supervisor, and trainer through MDFT International. I am also phase one certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) through the Child Trauma Academy. I am level 1 trained in Gottman Method of couples therapy through the Gottman Institute and level 1 trained in Relational Life Therapy (RLT). I am a trauma informed care trainer in SaintA’s 7ie of trauma informed care.

But most importantly I know that people heal in different ways and are in different places in their personal journeys and want to work with you to help you heal and grow in the best and most impactful way for you and your loved ones.  The thought of "going to therapy" can be daunting and it is my goal to make this work as impactful and safe as possible by utilizing whatever is most helpful for my clients; nature, walking, games, art, movement and yes talking.

I'm Amanda and I'm excited to meet you! My priority as a clinician is to provide a safe, open, and curious space for clients to explore all aspects of themselves. I’m a firm believer that there is no one therapeutic style that will work for everyone, so I implore a variety of methods and techniques to meet the client where they're at on any given day. My own life experiences have led to my passion for working with the LGBT+ community, polyamorous/non-monogamous people, Neurodivergence, and OCD and skin picking disorders. I also find joy in working with couples/relationships of all structures in both the monogamous and non-monogamous world.

Those looking for relationship counseling should seek me as an added layer of support in building communication, empathetic conflict management, and authentic connections.

I'm a good fit for those struggling with life transitions, coming out, platonic/romantic/sexual relationships, sex, sexuality, self-advocacy, ADHD and anxiety. Although I do provide in person and telehealth sessions, I also offer a variety of out-of-the box and non-traditional therapy styles to suit your brain’s needs. Your ideas are always welcome to make your therapy journey as comfortable as possible!

When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing board games, bowling, gardening, camping, and spending time with my family and our two dogs (Ruthie and Jojo), two cats (Cashew and Macadamia), and baby snail (Choco).

(she/her/hers)

MSW / APSW

As a clinician, I come with a background in addressing concerns like anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and more. My intention is to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere where clients can navigate their individual paths, feeling truly heard and understood. I believe that the therapeutic alliance between client and therapist is one of the most powerful aspects of our collective efforts. Understanding that people seek therapy for diverse reasons, each struggle and experience being unique, I tailor my approach by drawing from a blend of therapeutic methods that best suit each individual. Examples of these include ACT, CBT, strengths-based approach, and more. I am committed to lifelong learning, having pursued education in cultural humility and competence. I have worked with a wide range of client populations, including individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds and LGBTQ+ communities. I offer in-person, telehealth, and walking sessions for clients who are able. Be it conquering challenges, finding ways to cope, embracing acceptance, or processing emotions, my goal is to walk beside my clients (sometimes literally) while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

When I’m not working, I enjoy being outside, biking and camping. I love to travel when I am able to and I also enjoy playing board games and making art.
